Are you on a “spiritual high horse?”

And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. (1 Corinthians 8:2 KJV)

Many are attempting to walk with God while clinging to their own sense of self-importance being filled with puffed up knowledge and Strutting as a spiritual giants.  This high mindedness does not align up with Christlikeness but rather points to prideful characteristics straight from the god of this world.  A ...

Have you withdrawn from those producing sour and spoiled fruit?

Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. (2 Thessalonians 3:6 KJV)

Paul is bringing about God’s commandment to separate from brothers and sisters who are disorderly and malfunctioning in their spiritual walk.  To stick by the side of those who are walking amiss ...

Are you spiritually determined to suffer for the cause of God?

For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the ...

Is the Quran a miracle?

Moslem theologians claim that the Quran was delivered to Muhammad in the Arabic language by Allah.  After all this is what the Quran tells us in:

The Moslems claim that the angel Gabriel was the messenger who dictated the verses.  Moslems claim that Arabic is the “Language of God.”  The Quran is a miracle because it is written in Arabic in such a unique style and composition that only Allah (not any human being) could have written it this way.

Living a righteous life is not guesswork but grace work.

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. (1 Thessalonians 5:21 KJV)

Proving means to test the nature of a person or situation.  To prove is to determining through aggressive spiritual testing that which is good and pleasing and in line with God’s precepts and commandments.  Not everything which is presented as godly is of God.  Many things are cloaked in a seemingly godly spirit but are cleverly disguised ...

Do you have a pleasant spiritual fragrance about you?

For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? (2 Corinthians 2:15-16 KJV)

Mankind always has an aroma or spiritual fragrance about him.  Those who choose to serve the god of this ...

The elders of the church are the backbone.

Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward. (1 Timothy 5:17-18 KJV)

Timothy is speaking about elders in the church.  Elders are the backbone of a healthy church.  The wisdom these elder gentlemen have gained over ...

Isaiah’s times were filled with rebellion and disobedience much like today.

He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog’s neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine’s blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. I also will choose their delusions, and will ...

Are you a weak and wobbly Christian or separated unto the supernatural strength of God?

Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die: Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain. (Proverbs ...

Do you have inward spiritual vitality and stamina along with good standing physical health?

But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. (1 Timothy 4:7-8 KJV)

Every day I run across people who are walking, exercising, or running to better their physical health.  Or they are dieting and ...
