A Plea for Defending the Faith
Jude 3 (KJB) Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
It is important that the spiritual man and woman of God earnestly contend for the faith during his or her sojourning in this dark and evil world. This plea is written in both the past and present tense.
You see, there has always been those who strongly hold onto their strong faith in God despite any outward circumstances about them. However, there has always been some who have had little or no faith in the supernatural power and presence of God to work according to His will in their life and in the lives of others near and dear to them.
The time has always been urgent for lost or spiritually lackluster men and women to become spiritually strengthened or come to know about placing personal faith in God. The will of God for every person is for them to know God personally and sow seeds of the gospel message to others who need to hear it and apply it in their heart.
The tenets of the gospel message have never changed since the beginning. God’s message has never been altered or subject to revision or amending in ancient times, today, and forever.
God has been calling since the beginning for all people to be quickened spiritually alive and to remain in their spiritual service of contending for the faith and shining the light onto another soul in need of God’s eternal message.
