A Spiritually Beautiful Woman
1 Timothy 2:9-10 (KJB) In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
Paul speaks of women who shine with spiritual beauty, modesty, and good works.
These women do not rely on glittery fancy clothes to “dress themselves up.” Or trust in applying fancy makeup, changing their natural hair color, or in having the perfect looking body for making themselves appealing to others.
Instead, godly women solely desire to be spiritually attractive to God.
Spiritual beauty can only come from having the spiritual presence of God at work inside softened hearts. Only Godliness can cause a woman to shine with everlasting beauty. All the other worldly things women clamor for in order to enhance and improve themselves are outward, temporary, and can often be spiritually tainted.
None of these things will ever provide the eternal level of beauty a woman can discover in a personal relationship with God.
The thirty-first proverb speaks of many endearing qualities of a spiritually beautiful woman. She is beautiful every single moment of her life from inside her heart and outwardly because the power and presence of God reside within her heart.
