Adopted and Accepted in His Grace
Ephesians 1:5-6 (KJB) Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
Praise God that salvation does not rely upon any of my doing, for I, and every other person, would remain forever in a grave spiritual condition.
Yes, my own works, and your works are of no spiritual value. They are temporary and fleeting. Here today, gone tomorrow and do nothing to remove the sentence of death that is naturally hanging about our necks.
A man must choose to rely upon the finished work of Calvary to be eternally accepted by God. Jesus Christ has already finished all the required work of God. God freely desires to adopt every man, woman, and child into His spiritual family. However, God will not collar you into becoming a part of His family. He patiently waits for each man to choose to place faith in the work of Jesus Christ, rather than relying upon any of their own works.
Your work means nothing, but the finished work of Calvary means everything, for having an eternal life in fellowship with God forevermore. Praise God the spiritual work vital to your spiritual adoption is in place and waiting your personal acceptance to make His adoption eternally binding in the grace and mercy of His precious shed blood.
