Broken and Without Walls
Proverbs 25:28 (KJB) He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.
A man is either under the spiritual influence and liberty of God or he is controlled and captivated the dark spirit at work in this world.
A dark spirit influences the world to run amok, or without absolutes and “spiritual fences” to empower and promote wise conduct. A person who is under the influence of the god of this world is roaming with freedom and without restraint. There are no rules, law, or walls to rightly influence his behavior or environment.
A man or woman of God is subject to the rule and reign of God. A godly person has absolutes and restrictions that are for his spiritual best interests at work in his heart. He is guided and nudged by the spiritual authority of God who delights and desires to provide a direction and right spirit at work in His spiritual family.
A godly fenced in area with spiritual liberty and an enhanced spiritual atmosphere is necessary for both a right heart condition and conduct in this world and to enjoy a secure eternal future in right fellowship with God.
