Conviction is A Heart Message from God
Acts 2:37-38 (KJB) Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Conviction, conviction, conviction, nothing pokes and prods mankind so much as spiritual persuasion of God. When a man hears the Truth of God, whether it be in a church, on the radio, from a teacher, or a friend, it can work and will in a softened heart. Conviction can persuade a man to be spiritually agreeable.
Conviction allows the spiritual influence, character, and counsel of God to richly dwell inside his heart.
Conviction cannot be accomplished apart from God. It takes the presence and power of God at work in a softened heart to influence a man or woman about the eternal necessity of repenting and receiving salvation from God.
God’s continual spiritual presence inside the heart of man allows for continual conviction. It pinpoints and pokes holes in the presence of sin.
Yes, it is necessary for man to both hear conviction and personally choose to heed it in his life for both positional standing with God and daily spiritual cleansing and whitening from the mar of sin.
Conviction from God can be, and often is, disregarded or dismissed. Even by God’s own spiritual children. The closer a person’s relationship with God is the more likely His righteous counsel will be taken to heart for producing vital spiritual change. On the other hand, hearing God’s advice and casting it aside creates a heavy spiritual weight upon the heart of a child of God opening a chasm and creating distance in their personal spiritual relationship.
Conviction is a heart message from God to mankind. It is necessary for bringing about spiritual standing with God and for spiritual scrubbing as necessary for maintaining a close and personal relationship with Him.
