Do You Have “Spiritual Blight?”
For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. (Romans 11:16 KJV)
Roots are important. They determine everything about the tree and everything about the quality of its branches and harvest of fruit. Roots either bring life or death to a tree.
Healthy roots beget healthy trees producing a plentiful harvest of ripe and delicious spiritual fruit.
However, roots in ill health fail to produce strong branches or bring about a harvest of succulent fruit.
Trees which are found with roots established and settled and maturing in things of God always reap a bountiful and righteous spiritual crop. However, those with roots fixed in shallow soil of this world produce a weak and worldly crop of spoiled fruits with softening flesh drawing pesky flies.
