Does the Supernatural Power of God Seem Inconceivable?
Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead? (Acts 26:8 KJV)
Jesus Christ is asking this pointed question to King Agrippa, who does not personally know God.
This question is very piercing to any man; saved or lost.
Mankind often gets caught up in things of this world. Those who are lost and following aimlessly after the god of this world do not have an understanding of the supernatural power of God or its availability to them through faith in God. The man who has just been recently spiritually quickened alive is amazed by the sheer magnitude of the endless power of God.
However, as days turn into weeks, and weeks turn into years even the spiritual alive man or woman becomes complacent about the power of God at work in this world.
God saw fit to inspire men to record many instances where men of God were spiritually empowered to raise both spiritually dead men to new life and physically dead men to new physical providing the answer to both spiritual and physical wholeness.
Certainly we know He still resurrects people who are existing dead in their sin onto new spiritual life for all eternity.
Doubt about God’s incredible power can easily be overcome by focusing on God’s power over physical ailments, death, and ushering in wholesome spiritual life. When you begin to fear to take a moment to contemplate upon biblical examples such as Lazarus, the widow of Zarapeth’s son, the Shunammite woman’s son, the woman who touched the hem of Jesus’s garment, Jairus’s daughter, Mary Magdalene, the widow of Nain’s son, Tabitha, and many other miraculous events found in God’s Word.
