Esther Sought God for The Answer
Esther 4:15-17 (KJB) Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer, 16 Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish. 17 So Mordecai went his way, and did according to all that Esther had commanded him.
Esther found herself in a situation which was “in between a rock and hard place.” There was no easy or obvious answer to be found. Esther wasted no time in seeking God for what action she should take in handling this precarious situation.
It could potentially mean her death, and that of other Jews, if she failed to handle this situation in a delicate and proper spiritual fashion. Esther was willing to do whatever necessary, even going into visit the King unannounced and uninvited.
Nobody dared to visit the king unannounced for this could mean certain death.
Esther sought the much needed input of God. She resorted to much fasting and prayer and requested for other believers to follow in wholeheartedly seeking God for direction. God provided Esther the strength for a dangerous situation and an outcome for appeasing the circumstances and His will to be accomplished.
