Expect Suffering and Temptation
Hebrews 5:8 (KJB) Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered.
Jesus Christ is God and was born in the flesh a man. While alive on this earth Jesus Christ faced temptation, and suffering and had to make His own a personal choice through prayer to be obedient to God His Father.
You must also choose first to be obedient to God the Father, secondly be obedient to your earthly father, or parents, and other authority figures as you sojourn on this earth. There is both a spiritual obedience to God and an earthly obedience to mankind. There is always a suffering of consequences expected by every child of God as he serves God through his relationships with others in this world.
You see, Jesus Christ could have fallen prey to the sly traps set by the devil in Matthew chapter four. Jesus Christ faced temptation to His pride, lust of His eyes, and lust of His flesh as recorded in (1 John 2:15-17). Rather than fall into these attempts by the devil to “spiritually trip Him up,” Jesus Christ the man and God, learned through His obedience in tough circumstances, to follow the will of God for His life despite His suffering.
See, you are not the only one who is facing temptation, trials, and suffering during a walk with God in this tough and dark spiritual world (1 Corinthian 10:13). Every person alive on this earth will face temptation and suffering in these same areas: pride of life, lust of the flesh and eyes, as did Jesus Christ in His short tenure on this earth.
The Truth is any person who lives in obedience to the will of God as he or she sojourns in this world will divinely suffer in trials and temptations, but will always profit spiritually as he or she chooses to walk with God
