Psalm 19:12-14 (KJB) Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults. 13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. 14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
God has no errors or faults. He is the “spiritual plumb line” of perfection. Mankind cannot boast of anything near perfection. Man must come to terms with his own natural sinful tendencies. Man cannot compare himself to the perfection of God because he naturally falls way short. Sin is always repugnant and revolting to God and He cannot have anything to do with sin.
However, mankind can have the presence of the Spirit of God living in his softened heart through personally acknowledging his sin and turning away from them to put on the fragrance of the perfection of God. Mankind either chooses to have the presence and power of God alive in his heart or he chooses to harbor the sin and darkness of the god of this world.
