God Created Man in His Own Image and Gave Him Power
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. (Genesis 1:26 KJV)
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: Have you even taken note that the words “us” and “our” in this verse is plural? This verse clearly refers to the three parts of the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the Godhead who were in the beginning.
Did you realize that God in all His essence was in the beginning? If you are like me, you have read over this scripture many times before it dawned on you that this verse was written in the plural form” us” indicating a presence of more than one, or speaking clearly of the deity of God.
Secondly, God make man after the likeness of His image to exist in three parts: a trichotomy consisting of body, soul, and spirit. Man is naturally born with an evil leaning towards the god of this world rather than being in tune spiritually with the holiness and righteousness of God since Adam allowed sin to enter in the garden.
Third, God gave mankind dominion, or power over the creatures in this world.
