God Will Tell Sinners “Have It Your Way”
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. (Romans 1:24-25 KJV)
God is patient and slow to anger. He does not immediately “fly off the handle” at the presence of sin in a person’s life. He gently nudges mankind into seeing the nature of sin as He views it. He desires all mankind choose to run from sin and into His loving arms and be eternally separated from sin.
The Bible tells us Jesus is a friend of sinners Luke 7:34, Matt. 9:10-11, and many other verses. He did not choose to ignore sinners, or cast them aside, but interacted with them by speaking kindly to them and even sharing meals together with them for the purpose of establishing a channel of communication for calling those who choose to hear unto repentance and unto a personal relationship with Him.
However, God must be spiritually separated from the nature of sin. He cannot allow those who choose to remain unrepentant sinners to continue living in careless spiritual fashion without facing certain consequences of their wicked ways. God will, after a time, give an unrepentant man over to living in his sinful nature far removed from any longer having an opportunity for communication or a personal relationship with God.
The unrepentant sinner is left living in enmity to God by choosing to feed his sinful nature.
God desires all men choose to personally fellowship with Him. However, some will never hear or acknowledge His plea for personal repentance. God eventually leaves sinners to fend for themselves eternally bound in a spiritual quagmire of sin and shame.
