Honorable Qualities of God
Philippians 4:8-9 (KJB) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
There are eight honorable qualities which mirror the righteousness of God revealed in these two verses. These spiritual virtues always found in men and women of God are essentially for bringing Him honor and glory.
These principles include the “spiritual plumb line” of truth, honesty, purity, a godly sense of justice, loveliness, a good reputation, virtue, an attitude of praise, and finally a mind focused upon these things.
Certainly the message God divinely placed in preceding verses is that those who possess opposing values bring dishonor and disgrace to God along with ushering in spiritual upheaval, fear and confusion into their lives.
