Identifying with Christ is Not for Spiritual Wimps
1 Peter 4:12-14 (KJB) Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
Every person who chooses to identify with Jesus Christ and professes their faith placed in Him will certainly face multiple trials and persecutions.
In fact, God’s Word tells us to expect various fiery trials and intense suffering. We should not expect to exist without facing desperate circumstances as we sojourn in this world.
Deciding to live a Galatians 2:20 life is not for spiritual wimps and wannabees.
A Galatians 2:20 life is for those who share in the eternal nature and victory of Calvary only accessible through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
A child of God is to face imminent spiritually tough times with spiritual joy.
Yes, exceeding joy is to characterize the life of every person who identifies with knowing Jesus Christ. A child of God is not to walk around touting a spiritual “woe is me” attitude. A child of God innately will display the immense joy, honor, mercy, and grace found inside personal relationship with Him radiating from his or her softened and spiritually quickened alive heart.
When a man or woman desires to identify with God he or she also gladly chooses to suffer with Him. Identifying with God includes emitting robust joy and peace in the face of any situation or condition at work in his or her life.
