Out of The Heart
Matthew 12:33-34 (KJB) Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. 34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
These two verses are speaking about the inward condition of the heart.
The heart of man is either a trash heap for storing all sorts of evil and wickedness. Or it is a spiritual depository for accumulating the power and presence of God. Either way, whatever is stowed inside man’s heart always finds its way out of man’s mouth and into this world.
The natural tongue of man cannot be tamed:
James 3:8 (KJB) But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
The tongue is an organ of man which has the probability of spewing horrible darkness and evil left to its own natural influence at work in this world. Only the power and presence of God at work inside the heart of man can inspire man to speak with goodness and godliness as he sojourns in this world.
