Overturn, Overturn, Overturn
Ezekiel 21:27 (KJB) I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him.
God saw fit to use the same word overturn three consecutive times in this verse. This fact should serve to make us pay close attention to the importance of this word in relation to the message of this verse. Really, when else did God choose to use a single word three times in one verse! The message must be of the utmost importance for us to hear and hide inside our heart.
Zedekiah’s crown was about to be removed. His reign was over. The royal lineage of Judah would no longer be the same. Zedekiah who was about to be diminished. The Davidic line of Kings was about to be cut short.
This triple repetition of a word was to make clear the inevitability, God announced the overturn of the throne of David. When Zedekiah was removed from the throne of David, another true king in Jerusalem would not arise until He whose right it is. Only one has the right to be next in line to the throne of God.
That individual is Jesus Christ when He returns in His power and glory. From Zedekiah to the present time, the throne of David has been empty.
Pat attention folks to the chosen words of God. Especially when He chooses to “beat us other the head” with such repetition. His teaching is always good and proper for the spiritual nature and maturity of our soul.
