Separating from Ungodliness is Not a Choice but A Command of God
Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. (2 Thessalonians 3:6 KJV)
God calls for separation, not only from those who are unsaved, but He calls His saints to separate from other saints who are disorderly or backslidden in their walk with God.
God calls for the regenerated man to walk according to His godly standards along the narrow way rather than looking unto the frivolous ways of man or choosing to walk according to the looser standards found in the world. Changing focus to look upon this world causes man to stumble and bumble in his walk creeping ever so closer to the wider pathway and losing focus upon eternal direction from God. Intently focusing upon the eternal pattern set forth by God allows the spiritually quickened man to remain firmly planted in the center of His will.
The regenerate man should be found walking peacefully and pleasantly along the narrow pathway God has abundantly provided for a short time of serving Him as man sojourns upon this earth. Rather than desperately caught up in the avenue of this world.
