Shut Out of Eternal Fellowship
Matthew 25:10 (KJB) And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
A door left open by God compels mankind to enter, or to come inside.
However, a closed door speaks a different spiritual tune. It indicates a man can no longer enter. The former access is now closed signaling an end to a former opportunity.
In simple terms, this verse is speaking of the nation of Israel being ready for the return of their king. The guests to the wedding were the Jewish people. All souls were invited to the wedding. The returning King is Jesus Christ.
The result is there is only a certain period or spiritual framework in place for individuals, both Greeks and Jews, (this includes you and I) to come to salvation Christ. The door of salvation is still open today, but will not be open forever. The door of salvation will be shut tight and sealed one day soon.
All mankind should seek God while He still can be found.
One day the door of salvation will be shut forever. No other individual will be able to enter in a relationship with God through faith in the finished work of Christ, thereby receiving eternal salvation. One day soon God will shut the door prohibiting any other souls from entering therein.
