Sin Remembered No More
Hebrews 10:15-17 (KJB) Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, 16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
Continual remembrance of sin is no longer necessary. With the old covenant, it was necessary for men to offer sacrifices and shed blood at certain intervals to the priest for their sin. This act did nothing to remove sin, but was required to appease their relationship with God.
Today, in the new covenant, it is not necessary to remember our sin. God sent His Only Son to shed His blood on the cross at Calvary. His shed blood was sufficient to remove sin and relieve any need to continually remember it.
In fact, God promises in this age (Hebrews 8:12) to remember our confessed sin no more!
