Supernatural Healing Is Always Fueled by Faith
And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. (Luke 8:45-46 KJV)
Jesus Christ was in the middle of a crowd of people of whom he was preaching and teaching. A person had dared to touch Him believing they would be healed. Jesus Christ instantaneously knew when the power for this miraculous healing had left Him going into another in great need.
It was not simply touching Jesus Christ that had the healing power. Often Jesus Christ was touched among the crowd. The healing power came through this touch because this person had great faith in the healing capability of Jesus Christ. So great was this power that when this power left Jesus Christ, He perceived it.
The disciples and others that were standing there with Him had no idea of what had just taken place because they could not see, hear, or even know this supernatural healing had taken place. They were awestruck when Jesus asked: “Who touched me?” They disciples were even more enthralled when Jesus further Said: “for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me…”
Jesus Christ could discern His power leaving His body flowing into the body of another.
The disciples had no idea of the operation of the supernatural spirit of God and were amazed along with the crowd at His miraculous healing power made possible through a simple touch laced together with the fuel of faith.
