Revelation 7:11-12 (KJB)   And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,  12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Matthew 26:3 (KJB)   Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas.

This verse describes an ancient “meeting of the minds.”  This gathering was a conglomeration of minds led instinctively by dark and evil leaning hearts.  These men were spiritually closed to things of God and open wide for following the darkness of the god of this world.
