Exaltation is Often Limited by Pride

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: (1 Peter 5:6 KJV)

Humble yourselves… this is not merely a suggestion.

Or one of many different avenues available for mankind to approach God.

Rather, humbling oneself is an imperative statement!

Man must humble himself before God before He can be lifted up by God!

This verse also declares: he may exalt you in due time…
