Pride is Eternally Unhealthy

Pride is Eternally Unhealthy

Galatians 6:3 (KJB)   For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

Pride at work in the heart displays an attitude of “I am important and everything revolves around me.”

A prideful heart condition stands in stark contrast to a humble and submissive person having a godly heart condition.  A godly heart revolves around God.  Everything is about bringing honor and glory to Him and entertains no thought of self-worth.

Satan ...

Living Eternally Wise

Living Eternally Wise

Proverbs 26:12 (KJB)   Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him.

Proud men think they are wise.

Proud men boast to others through words and actions that they are wise.

God always knows the truth of every situation.  God can cut through any smoke screen to get to the heart of the situation.  There is always pride at work in the lives of foolish people.  The opposing side ...

Exaltation is Often Limited by Pride

Exaltation is Often Limited by Pride

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: (1 Peter 5:6 KJV)

Humble yourselves… this is not merely a suggestion.

Or one of many different avenues available for mankind to approach God.

Rather, humbling oneself is an imperative statement!

Man must humble himself before God before He can be lifted up by God!

This verse also declares: he may exalt you in due time…

It does not say that God ...

Are You Radiating with Spiritual Beauty?

Are You Radiating with Spiritual Beauty?

For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. (Psalm 149:4 KJV)

Those who approach God with authentic humbleness obtain free salvation. God takes pleasure in those who come to Him with lowliness and meekness of heart, agreeing with God about sin and desiring to turn from it to follow after the holiness and perfection of God seeking repentance for their personal sin.

Those who are regenerated in spirit ...

Take Up Your Cross November 4th 2015

God’s style is humble and unassuming not forceful, prideful, and pretentious.

And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. (Mark 10:44-45 KJV)

In Jesus’s day, as is the case as well today, many earthly rulers set themselves up to be rulers of all despising or ignoring any power other than their ...

Allow God to do all the promoting.

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: (1 Peter 5:6 KJV)

Humbling ourselves unto God is to submit to His will for our life.  It is to allow Him to be in the driver’s seat as we sit contentedly in peace in the passenger seat, allowing Him to steer us through mazes and obstacles along the narrow pathway upon this earth.

Allowing God to ...

Do you complain and blame or worship and praise God in all things?

Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. (Job 1:20-22 KJV)

Job biblically portrayed ...

Are you wallowing in pride with god or seeking God and righteousness?

The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts. (Psalms 10:4 KJV)

Pride closes spiritual doors; slamming them closed tight.  The matter of pride is in direct conflict or opposition to humility and the spiritual things of God.  Those who operate in pride are at home and comfortable in the darkness of this evil world; enjoying the ...
