Paul’s Advice for The Rich

1 Timothy 6:17-19 (KJB)   Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;  18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;  19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on ...

Spiritually Indigent or Eternally Rich

Spiritually Indigent or Eternally Rich

Psalm 72:2 (KJB)   He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.

This scripture verse makes a distinction between two groups of people: Thy people and poor people.

Thy people are God’s people who are spiritually rich.  Maybe not rich in worldly wealth, but certainly esteemed and valued cloaked in God’s eternal wealth.

What is a stalled ox?

I can ...

Eternal Riches Only Come from God

Eternal Riches Only Come from God

And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. (Mark 10:17-18 KJV)

Jesus had just finished teaching a crowd about the possibility of receiving eternal life.  A young man, who appeared to ...

Is Your Manna Moldy?

The Israelite’s were in the middle of the wilderness of the hot and harsh desert; marching out of Egypt and trudging towards the Promised Land.  They soon began to realize their journey was not going to be easy or painless.  In fact, it seemed to be downright horrible and relentless.

The Israelites began to feel miserable and to murmur and complain against Aaron and Moses because they felt lacked the necessary sustenance needed for their journey.  They viewed their ...
