Unequally Yoked

2 Corinthians 6:14 (KJB)   Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

A yolk is a coupling together of two, as in two animals, who are harnessed together for plowing a field.  Certainly, you understand that two animals of differing statures could not be placed together and enjoy success in getting field work done.
