Godly repentance includes grieving with God about sin.
Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 20:21 KJV)
Paul was teaching about repentance and having godly sorrow for sin viewing it through the perfect lens of God placing faith in the work of Jesus Christ aligning with God in a personal relationship agreeing about the dreadfulness of man’s innate sin nature.
Viewing sin as God sees it leads man away from the attraction of following their fallen sin nature heading off in the opposite direction to walk along God’s narrow pathway placing faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ living according to His Spirit which resides inside of their quickened soul rather than following the dead and dark spirit residing inside the god of this world.
Are you following after the evil of the God of this world or attracted to the holiness and perfection of God having repentance, faith, and obedience unto God components of the work of God in salvation of your soul.
