Do you often forge ahead of God according to faulty human reasoning?
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. (Psalms 27:14 KJV)
Man is naturally programmed by the god of this world to always be busy and moving about, to be self-sufficient and mentally prepared with a ready answer from a database of humanistic garbage collected in this world. The god of this world desires for us to be self-sufficient saying “Go, do your own thing in your own timing and in your own way…”
God’s Word says be patient, rest in His timing, not according to our own sense of planning. Live according to His will and way. God sometimes says wait before He says go and grow. Other times God says no and closes a door in front of us.
These two concepts of timing diametrically oppose each other.
God’s way is peaceful, passive, and all about bringing honor and glory to Him. Man’s way is unsettled, self-centered, and in direct opposition to God. One points directly to God; the other points to self and the god of this world.
God promises those who wait upon Him “and he shall strengthen thine heart…” He will strengthen them in their heart. God always comes through on His promises. Waiting brings godly supernatural strength and courage.
