Is your life tranquil or troubling?
Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, than an house full of sacrifices with strife. (Proverbs 17:1 KJV)
A dry morsel depicts modest means in quiet and peaceful surroundings rather than choosing to live high on the hog possessing everything but existing in this bountiful lifestyle along with contention and strife.
There are many people who are never satisfied with having just what they need in life but continue to covet and crave more and more. It is even common now a days for people to regress to hoarding treasures on earth; amassing trinkets and possessions; but yet never finding lasting contentment upon this earth. They work to fill themselves up with lands, houses, and bank accounts and other things which serve little or no purpose towards living with an eternal mindset while sojourning upon this earth.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7 KJV)
The only lasting peace and quiet on this earth lasting for all eternity is the peace that passes understanding in a relationship with God.
