That day of eternal burning will come to all who live in opposition to God.
For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. (Malachi 4:1 KJV)
This scripture verses describes a day coming soon that shall be as a burning oven. One day Jesus will return to rain His wrath down on all those who have chosen to live for themselves in alignment with the god of this world rather than living in the righteousness and perfection of God.
God promises to completely annihilate or burn up the many wicked men left on this earth. God’s spiritual family has already been gathered and drawn unto Him in the heavenly realm and they are not a part of the wickedness and evil or in harm’s way. Those who are working for the devil and have been left on this earth will be burnt in eternal fire as the earth is destroyed.
This verse was written in context of Israel and the Jewish people upon the Lord’s return. The Bible does tell us a portion, or remnant of the Jewish people will be saved in that day, but many will face the wrath of God and be burn forever for their unbelief.
Today both unsaved Jewish people and Gentiles alike will burn in the eternal fires of Hell upon the triumphal return of Jesus Christ.
