Do you “blend in” or stand out?
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. (Acts 4:13 KJV)
The Spirit of God living inside man’s heart is naturally accompanied with spiritual boldness and laced with a generous helping of Truth, spiritual fruit, and estrangement from the way of the world. Godly traits are essential as man sows the gospel seed, especially when speaking with those who are openly indifferent or skeptical to the Truth of God.
The presence of God leaves an evident mark upon a person’s life. Children of God are naturally seen as citizens of Heaven rather than residents of this world. Therefore, many lost people stand aloof, are skeptical, and perhaps even ridicule those who profess a personal relationship with God, calling them ignorant, “spiritually overboard,” or crazy. However, each time a lost person hears the Truth the supernatural power of God chips away at the hardened crust covering man’s heart, perhaps softening resistance to the Truth, bringing him one step closer to placing personal faith in God.
