Faith in God is the fuel of righteousness and godliness.
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. (Hebrews 11:7 KJV)
Faith is the spiritual fuel that plugs man into God’s supernatural energy supply. It takes faith to step out on the edge of a limb or dangle on a cliff allowing God to have control of your life. Noah was a man who permitted God to steer his life by choosing to live according to God’s holy blueprint.
Noah believed God when He spoke of a coming time of judgment to include torrential rain, flooding, and certain death for anyone who rejected His will for their life. Many chose to scoff and make fun of Noah as he constructed an ark of protection according to God’s commandment. This ark was to protect those choosing to live in the center of God’s grace and mercy as the flood rained death and destruction in the world around them.
Many people ridiculed Noah and made light of the idea of torrential rain falling upon this earth. Rain was an effect of nature that the people of this ancient time had never known or experienced. Only Noah and his immediate family believed God through faith seeking shelter in the safety of God’s ark as the rain commenced to fall upon this earth just as God had told them.
Through faith Noah put on the righteousness of God.
