Man cannot talk his way or work his way into the kingdom of heaven.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? (Matthew 7:21-22 KJV)
This is a clear warning from Jesus:
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven…”
God has a standard or plumb line for man to meet in order to enter into eternity with Him. It is not enough for man to profess having a relationship with God through faith. Man must possess a spiritual relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Talk is cheap to God but obedience to His will along with a harvest of spiritual fruit is pleasing to God.
Access to heaven is limited to those who have been spiritually quickened alive. Those who live according to the world and the nature of sin having a darkened heart will be swiftly turned away from entering into an eternity with God and ushered into a permanent residence amid the flames of a fiery Hell without God for all eternity.
