Do you see your worth through the eyes of Christ?
For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. (Galatians 6:3-4 KJV)
Mankind naturally thinks he is something but the reality is God’s Word compares man’s attempts at righteousness to dirty rags. Only when man understands who God is can he place himself in a truthful standing. It is only when mankind aligns himself up with the standard or plumb line of God that he can see himself as he is; naturally sinful, spiritually dead, and lost.
Therefore, when man becomes something valuable in Christ, through nothing other than faith placed in the work of His Son Jesus Christ, giving all the glory goes to God who made him into something from nothing. None of the glory can go to man himself or others for new life in Christ is all of God through His Son Jesus Christ’s finished work on the cross and not of any works or worth of mankind.
