God’s grace imparts spiritual gifts.
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: (Ephesians 4:11-12 KJV)
God does not have the same spiritual assignment for everyone. He has a will and He knows exactly what job goes perfectly with your circumstance and abilities. Often man is overwhelmed at the task God has lined up for their life but God knows our spiritual fitness and finesse much better than we do.
God chose Moses for the leader of the Israelite’s journey from Egypt to the Promised Land. God knew that Rahab would perceive the need to hide the spies from danger in Jericho. The Road to Damascus was the perfect humbling spot for the addition of a new servant named Paul into the front line of God’s spiritual army, and God knew that David would be a great king despite his choosing of some sinful setbacks.
God has a task for you and me as well.
God has given individuals gifts; not for their selfish gain but for the building up of His spiritual family and His church. The gifts mentioned above are not all still available today. Apostles were commissioned personally and new prophets are no longer chosen because God’s Word is complete with all events of the future inspired and recorded.
All mankind has been given a spiritual gift for ballooning out to touch the lives of others as they represent God in a personal relationship with Him sowing the seeds of His gospel message and encouraging fellowship and spiritual maturity.
