Do you have the most valuable gift man can receive upon this earth?
And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? (1 Peter 4:18 KJV)
This is a serious question to contemplate upon and should evoke fear in those who are not quickened spiritually alive with no inkling about or possession of eternal assurance of salvation. Salvation is the most prized possession man can get upon this earth.
God clearly tells us we can know for sure about our own personal salvation. Do you have a lingering question swimming about in your own mind and heart about exactly what will happen to you upon the moment of your physical death as you are ushered into the eternal realm?
We know that physical death will happen to all mankind (Hebrews 9:27).
We know that God is busy preparing a place for His own (John 14:2-3).
We know that all sinners have been sentenced to Hell for the wages of their sin (Romans 6:23).
It is clear from many Bible passages that those without a personal relationship with Jesus will be sent to Hell to suffer in agony without God in the eternal realm.
We know that an eternity with God exists for those who have entered into a personal relationship with Him through faith in Jesus Christ’s finished work on the cross.
God’s Word says:
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (1 John 5:13 KJV)
This verse from 1st John goes straight to the point clearing up any confusion man may have concerning the assurance of eternal life. God’s Word implicitly states we can know for sure about our eternal future; what do you know for sure about your eternal future?
