Are you on a “spiritual high horse?”
And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. (1 Corinthians 8:2 KJV)
Many are attempting to walk with God while clinging to their own sense of self-importance being filled with puffed up knowledge and Strutting as a spiritual giants. This high mindedness does not align up with Christlikeness but rather points to prideful characteristics straight from the god of this world. A right relationship with God requires humility and low sense of self and a high esteem for God. An ongoing spiritual fellowship with God is all about his work and mindset which resides within us to direct our path, having nothing to do with any mental assent or accomplishment of mankind.
Just when man sees himself as having it made, standing atop a spiritual mountain, is most often when he actually finds himself inhabiting a tight spot in a spiritual dry desert as viewed through the perfect lens of God. Man’s understanding and observation while living upon this earth is often obstructed or colored with earthly interference and only God can clearly understand the situation at hand from His infinite heavenly viewpoint.
