Will you be in the heavenly choir?
Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. (Psalms 30:4 KJV)
How often do you focus upon, as this verse says, remembering the holiness of God? Singing praises unto Him? Singing scripture is worshipping through melodies and hymns unto God. The Old Testament book of Psalms is an ancient “God inspired” book of musical verses sung unto Him praising and worshiping Him.
In the Bible godly music was always directed towards praising God rather than being sung for the enjoyment of man. Today much praise and worship is sung, or even performed, solely for man’s gratification rather than pointing to God giving thanks for His holiness and faithfulness. Music aimed towards man delights the flesh and must sound horrific to God’s ears.
God always deserves our glory and honor. Music was created by God for the purpose of giving praise and worship to His ears and one day all His saints will sing praises to Him in the heavenly choir.
