God’s truth is simple and eternal
But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. (2 Corinthians 11:3 KJV)
Living in the perfect lush environment in the garden with God was Adam and Eve; the environment so perfect they needed nothing more than their personal relationship with God; a spiritual triangle with God at the head, for perfect peace and contentment forever. The garden was perfect but Satan beguiled Eve in this tropical atmosphere and she was quickly joined by Adam in eating of the fruit of The Tree of Knowledge. This fruit, however delicious and inviting to their palate, was going against that which God had spoken to them and bringing about sin and corruption into their mind trickling down into the crevices of their heart; resulting in the wages of death: corruption, destruction, decline, and decay upon this earth affecting the spiritual health of all mankind.
God has the perfect answer to this spiritual impasse; then, now, and for all eternity. The gospel of Jesus Christ is so simple people often stumble right over it their minds being easily distracted, like Eve in the garden, by the offering of shiny faux jewels from the god of this world who covertly lavishes us with shiny trinkets upon us to cover or hide his empty and fleeting promises.
The Truth of God’s Word, however, is amazing and supernatural, not lacking, eternally lasting, and in every way perfect. The façade of ornaments satan uses to lure unsuspecting souls away from the things of Christ quickly fade; losing their luster quickly amid the many storms of life. The things of God are simple, sure, and forever.
In a nutshell God’s plan is clear, simple, and in perfect order, bringing about the message of salvation leading to eternity with God. The gospel message is so simple even a child can understand and it is not empty, delusional or misleading; rather lasting and eternal.
