Are you fellow-shipping in the light with God rather than holding hands in darkness with god?
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. (Ephesians 5:11 KJV)
To have spiritual godly fellowship with another is to enjoy the companionship and company of another who shares the same view of God, including the nature of sin, repentance, and of eternal life and death. A person who has placed their faith in the work of Jesus Christ upon the cross has fellowship with God and lives with the Holy Spirit residing inside him bringing about His fruit of the spirit through service and maturing in the light of God’s Word.
God’s Word tells us those who live in the light are to reprove, using the supernatural power of scripture, for those who profess a relationship with God but choose rather to live covered by sin and darkness for the purpose of correction and restoring them into having a right spiritual relationship with God.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2 Timothy 3:16 KJV)
Those people who elect to live in darkness and continue to suppress the Truth and light of God’s Word cannot cultivate fruit of the spirit nor be corrected because they dwell in and enjoy living among wickedness and evil, having no desire for a personal relationship and right fellowship with God.
Those who relish darkness align their life up with the camaraderie of the god of this world.
