The Jewish people are God’s treasure and the apple of His eye.
A Song or Psalm of Asaph. Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God. For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones. They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. (Psalms 83:1-4 KJV)
The circumstances in Israel in Asaph’s time are similar to the spiritual climate of the Middle East today. Enemies of Israel have risen up against her and Asaph stood calling out unto God from the midst of this turmoil as other nations had aligned up together against God’s chosen people in this land of Israel.
These nations coming together to go to bat sparing against Israel have been clashing in opposition against her since ancient biblical times. God has promised the land of Israel to His chosen people and He will return one day to set the boundaries in His order saving a remnant of His people. God always makes good on His promises and though others try to push her into giving up and letting go of their nation, God will always protect and treasure His own, having established them forever protecting them from constant chaos and collateral damage at the hands of their fierce enemies.
To love God is to love His own Jewish people.
The stated goal of some nations surrounding Israel in the Middle East is to eradicate or exterminate the Jewish people staking claim to the land which God has expressly given His own people and nothing shall come between them and God’s perfect will.
