The Allure of God
Proverbs 25:2-3 (KJB) It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter. 3 The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings is unsearchable.
God is God! Who is mankind to question how He has revealed His truth?
But often we choose to go down the well-beaten path or a dead end road… rather than desiring to travel along the narrow road containing God’s will for our lives.
God’s Word as recorded in the King James Bible is so simple that it is written on the “bottom shelf” so that even a young child can understand it. God’s Word has hidden truths concealed underneath the surface for those willing to dig a little deeper under the surface to find and feast upon, rather than be satisfied with the immature milk of “spiritual infanthood.”
Certainly, men who have been called to preach, men and women who are teachers, and those who elect to spend much time in God’s Word dig and discover much “spiritual gold” within the covers of God’s Word.
There is a spiritual allure to truths of God. All mankind is born with an existing whole in His heart which can only be filled by the indwelling presence of God. Some feast upon His Word, some lap the milk of spiritual infancy, while many choose to ignore God’s appeal.
