The Heavenly Temple
Revelation 11:19 (KJB) And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
The Apostle John was given a private showing of God’s temple in the heavenly realm. This was an incredible peek into the heavenly holy of holies, or the throne room of God. John was unable to describe this glance, because did not have the words from God to describe it, and secondly, a further description was not meant to be recorded in God’s Word for our learning.
There are few descriptors given for us including that the seventh trumpet had just sounded and that John could see in the temple of God the ark of His testament amongst a great brewing storm.
Wow! Does that mean that The Ark of the Covenant, the very one which was on this earth and inside was placed Aaron’s rod, a pot of manna, and tablets of stone containing the law of God? Is this chest made of acacia wood now resting in heaven with God? This ark has been the subject of much anticipation and frantic searching by some people in this world, however, it is no longer resting inside a temporary temple of God, nor is its presence any longer spiritually necessary on this earth.
The Tabernacle of God and The Ark of the Covenant are two spiritual wonders that any man perhaps cannot fully understand nor lay his hands on, this side of heaven. These things were introduced by God in ancient biblical times, and conceivably are no longer present on this earth. Their whereabouts will be made known, according to the will and way of God.
