The royal Throne and crown were given to Jesus Christ by God
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high. I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him. (Ezekiel 21:26-27 KJV)
Zedekiah wore the king’s crown and sat upon the throne as the reigning king but his kingship was about to expire and come to an abrupt end. The Davidic throne would not be filled upon his removal. This was an Old Testament reference, or prophecy, to the humiliation and death of Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ was the only one who could ever rightly fill this royal position as King of Judah.
Jesus Christ is the official King of the Jews. There is not another man on this earth who could ever step in to fill His place on God’s throne.
However, in God’s perfect timing, Jesus Christ will return to this earth to reign as King of Kings.
