Two Are Better Than One!
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (KJB) Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. 10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. 11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? 12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Solomon is speaking from a vantage point of living with a wayward heart condition. He did not personally have a relationship with God or could apply His knowledge and wisdom until his later years of life.
Solomon learned many lessons the hard way by choosing to live without a personal relationship with God.
His idea is that two people are always better than one. This thought can be carried through in a business partnership, a marriage, or friends. Virtually in any situation, the call for two, rather than one person, rings forth with some verifiable truth.
In fact, in the book of Proverbs the Bible tells us that a three-strong cord cannot be easily broken. This certainly applies to a marriage triangle, or connection, including God and both spouses. Or a family relationship with parents, God, and a child.
