Song of Solomon 8:7 (KJB) Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.
The book of Son of Solomon is often the most misunderstood book of God’s Word. It is a book which speaks of the love between God and His church and applicable in a portrait of love found in a marital relationship between a man and woman.
This verse speaks about true love.
Many people living in this world think they have discovered true love in another person or place. True love cannot be sated in people and things of this world. True and lasting love can only found inside a personal relationship with God. People and things of this world are fleeting, here one day and gone the next but things founded in God are supernaturally powerful and perpetual.
True love stands the test of time lasting forever. It is a love found only in a personal relationship with God. Through this eternal union all over things are built firmly and securely lasting forever.
