Wide Open Love
Romans 15:1-3 (KJB) We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. 2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. 3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.
The love of God is like a “wide open spigot.” It cannot be turned down or minimalized. Its power does not rely upon the circumstances or actions of man. God’s love naturally runs in a wide-open stream. His love is agape love. It is unconditional love that God offers every man, woman, and child.
It is a love the incorporates a spiritual opportunity for everyone to be eternally saved, sanctified, and sweetened for His glory and honor. His love is a love that is necessary in His church for the edification of all saints.
God’s unconditional love bears the spiritual ills of the weak and lifts them up. It pleases and enlightens. It cloaks the man or woman of God in a spiritual blanket of love that cements blooming spiritual relationships with others among both immature and strong believers. It allows the infant believers to grow and mature in Christ and mature believers to model Christ likeness as the family of God gathers and grows.
