You Will Likely Taste Death
By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. (Hebrews 11:5 KJV)
Enoch did not taste death. You and I will surely face physical death. Unless, of course, Jesus Christ returns before the onset of our natural death.
The Bible says Enoch was translated:
“By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death…”
What does translated mean in the context of this verse?
It means that Enoch was carried to heaven without him physically dying. How can that be? It sounds like something right out the pages of a Science Fiction novel. It did actually happen to Enoch simply because God is able to convey a person to heaven through His supernatural power according to His will through the fuel of faith.
The fuel of faith has the unlimited supernatural power of God and can convey anything God desires. Enoch pleased God through his steadfast and unwavering obedience and God chose to carry Him to heaven according to His will and way. You and I will likely “taste death.”
