The Lawyers and Pharisees Obstructed Learning
Luke 11:52 (KJB) Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

In context, this verse is speaking of the leadership of Judah. This ancient corrupt government inhabited by many sinful people issued decrees and edicts that were burdensome and far removed from God.

Jeremiah Curses the Day
Jeremiah 20:14 (KJB) Cursed be the day wherein I was born: let not the day wherein my mother bare me be blessed.
This verse, isolated from other surrounding verses, seems to be a strangely penned verse indeed. The prophet Jeremiah is cursing the day he was born. This prophet seems to be talking out both sides of his mouth for in nearby verses he is praising God.
