Proverbs 27:6 (KJB) Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.
This proverb contains vital truth. A sincere friend is one who will elect to wound you with the truth if necessary rather than agree with you in deceit. A friend is one who shares in your best interest, even if that means he must present painful facts to you that perhaps you do not want to hear.
